Staying in one of our shared accommodation options will help you get off to the perfect start on your English course with us. There’s no better way to feel part of the school spirit than to live with other passionate English learners. There’s also nothing more motivating than being surrounded by people who have similar goals to you. So many of our students have made friends for life while living in our shared accommodation. At IH Galway we pride ourselves on our ability to generate a family atmosphere where students can make friends fast – because classes are always more enjoyable when you have a friend to share them with! In addition, all our shared houses are within a short commute from our school in Eyre Square, so you and your housemates can always make the short journey to classes together.

Our Gleann Na Trá accommodation is a beautifully built spacious three-bedroom apartment. It is perfectly positioned on Sandy Road, adjacent to the Terryland & Liosbán retail parks offering easy shopping and lots of part-time job opportunities.
Crescent Court
Our Crescent Court accommodation is a wonderful three bed apartment conveniently located on the Father Griffin Road, within five minutes’ walk of Galway city centre (where IH Galway is based!) and Salthill Promenade.
Eglinton Court
Eglinton Court is our three-bedroom apartment located in the heart of Galway’s City centre. It is ideal for exploring Galway City and enjoying the city’s great atmosphere. Only five-minute walking distance from IH Galway.
Gleann Na Trá
Our Gleann Na Trá accommodation is a beautifully built spacious three-bedroom apartment. It is perfectly positioned on Sandy Road, adjacent to the Terryland & Liosbán retail parks offering easy shopping and lots of part-time job opportunities.
The area is well-presented and maintained with plenty of green space around. The property is just a fifteen-minute walk from our school in Eyre Square (Galway City centre). This accommodation is also located on an excellent road with a bus and transport system allowing for ease of access to all parts of the city.

Our Crescent Court accommodation is a wonderful three bed apartment conveniently located on the Father Griffin Road, within five minutes’ walk of Galway city centre (where IH Galway is based!) and Salthill Promenade. Our International House Galway base in Eyre Square is less than a fifteen-minute walk from the door, all through the lively streets of Galway city centre. Additionally, the apartment is a two-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, which travels across the city and into the suburbs. Everything you could possibly need, including a supermarket and convenient public transport, is right on your doorstep.

Eglinton Court
Eglinton Court is our three-bedroom apartment located in the heart of Galway’s City centre. It is ideal for exploring Galway City and enjoying the city’s great atmosphere. Situated in the centre of Galway’s gastronomic and nightlife heart in Woodquay, the apartment is directly adjacent to countless renowned restaurants and bars famed for their live traditional Irish music. It is also less than a five-minute walk from our base here at International House Galway and Galway’s main bus and railway station in Eyre Square.

Each house comes fully equipped with fresh linen and towels, a kitchen/kitchenette, a living area and has WiFi throughout. You can gain easy access to your school materials online, in addition to any other information or entertainment you may need. Our accommodation is also inspected weekly by professional cleaning staff. The type of rooms provided vary from a single bedroom to a quadruple bedroom and are allocated based on availability.

Another exciting option we provide is the opportunity to stay with a local person or family in their home in Galway. A homestay will give you the opportunity to practice your English with a native speaker every day and become fully immersed in the Galway lifestyle.
Each host house has easy routes to the school either by bike or via public transport, so you can commute independently to and from the city centre. In addition, depending on the host, you may also be provided with complimentary meals, so you’ll get the chance to try some authentic Irish cuisine!
Still not sure about living with one of our hosts? Don’t worry! Our staff do a great deal of research and checks before (and after) entering into an agreement with our hosts. Your safety, comfort and happiness are our main concerns and we are committed to maintaining them.

Of course, you also have the option to find a place on your own. However, you should know that accommodation in Galway is incredibly scarce at the moment, so it’s a good idea to secure your accommodation before you arrive. Do your research and please beware of scammers. Make sure you view the accommodation or arrange a meeting with the landlord and/or tenants before paying a deposit or rent in advance. Some popular websites for renting or sharing accommodation include rent.ie, daft.ie and the Galway Advertiser (rent section). Our staff will also be on hand to give you advice and recommendations while you look.
